Aging at Home in Northern and WESTERN Suburbs of Chicago Done With Dignity

Guiding Transitions, Preserving Integrity

Forensic Home Safety is dedicated to empowering seniors and individuals with mobility challenges to live safely, independently, and with absolute dignity in the homes they love.

Most people look at a house and see four walls and a roof. Bill Nold looks at a house and sees a “Clinical Bridge” between health and independence. With a background that includes door-to-door sales in commercial business districts across 49 states, Bill has spent his career understanding the needs of people from every walk of life. While he previously served as a registered professional home inspector in Arizona, it was his three years of experience as a professional caregiver that shifted his focus from the building’s structure to the person living inside it.

Today, as a Forensic Home Safety Consultant, Founder of Forensic Home Safety, and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), Bill helps seniors, families, hospital administrators, legal professionals, and Realtors, navigate the high-stakes journey of aging at home with a level of precision rarely seen in this industry.

As part of his commitment to education and proactive planning, Bill has authored two distinct books tailored to the professionals and families managing these critical transitions:

  • The Clinical Bridge is geared specifically toward hospital administrators and families, serving as a roadmap to ensure safe hospital discharges and long-term independence.
  • The Forensic Home Safety Book is designed for probate, asset protection, and elder care attorneys and their clients, providing the critical environmental insights needed to protect vulnerable homeowners and safeguard estates.

The Forensic Advantage

I don’t believe in “guessing” when it comes to home safety. My work is data-driven and objective, utilizing professional-grade forensic equipment for my 90-Point Forensic Home SafetyAudits, which include:

A Personal Mission

My commitment to this work is deeply personal. I understand that adapting a house is never just a “home improvement” project—it is a critical intervention for maintaining autonomy, preventing injury, and mitigating legal risk.

Drawing on my lived experience and the core methodologies outlined in The Clinical Bridge and The Forensic Home Safety Book, I serve as an objective “Safety Referee” across the entire spectrum of care and estate planning:

  • For Home Healthcare Professionals: I provide the environmental insights necessary to bridge the gap between clinical care and a safe, sustainable home life.
  • For Legal Professionals: I deliver the documented, forensic evidence that probate, asset protection, and elder care attorneys require to fulfill their fiduciary duties and protect their clients.

Ultimately, my mission is to equip families, care teams, and legal advocates with the undeniable clarity needed to navigate difficult decisions with absolute dignity.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower seniors and individuals with mobility challenges to live safely, independently, and with absolute dignity. Utilizing Certified Aging-in-Place best practices, we provide specialized, objective safety assessments that bridge the gap between the physical home environment and the professionals managing a client’s transition.

Through our forensic approach to home safety, we aim to:

  • Support Healthcare Professionals: By acting as the “Clinical Bridge” that ensures safe hospital discharges, reduces readmission risks, and sustains long-term health outcomes.
  • Empower Legal Professionals: By providing the documented, environmental evidence needed to mitigate liability, uphold fiduciary duties, and safeguard vulnerable clients and their assets.

Ultimately, we transform houses into lifelong homes, ensuring every client can age in place with peace of mind and grace.
